Our Christmas Letter

We ran out of ink this year and just didn't get a round to buying anymore. So not everyone got our Christmas letter with our card. And just for when I print our blog, I wanted to include it in here. We might have made a few changes after this, but this was the gist.

Merry Christmas Family and Friends! Once again another year is behind us and one is upon us! 2011 brought many good things, seems like a better year than 2010 for the most part. Lots of steadiness in the Horne Household this year. We have lived in the same home for over 2 years now!! Scott is still work at Dawson Construction. I'm still working at Christ The King Church and the dance studio. Tubbs is still a large happy mellow dog. And life is good! Brooklyn is now almost a year and a half. She celebrated her first birthday in July and began walking shortly after. She is such a blessing to us! She laughs, talks, enjoys food and music, and of course dancing. Brooklyn has made many new friends this year, met many members of our family, and even took her first vacation to Palm Desert in April. She loved it, and was a great little traveler.

In August, we found out that Brooklyn was going to have a sibling! We are so excited to welcome our SECOND girl to the family in April of 2012! Brooklyn will have a little sister named Taylor Joy. We can't wait to welcome this bundle. We are extremely blessed. Thanksgiving weekend we had a little bit of a scare with Scott's dad. He suffered a heart attack, and went through a quadruple bypass surgery, but has been healing very well and is walking the road to recovery quite nicely. We are praying for a great recovery and many more years ahead of him.

The more we are experiencing life, we are realizing how much happiness in one moment, and how much pain in another life can bring. We are so thankful to walk though life knowing Christ and trusting Him. I'm not sure how we could get through this life with out Him. We have been blessed with great family and we have amazing community here in Bellingham. We have walked through some pretty hard stuff over the years, and have seen some frieds and family go through some really hard times in life as well. But time and time again, God proves His faithfulness in our lives and also in theirs. We're thankful to have a season to celebrate the birth of Christ our Savior. The Christmas Story sure does seem to mean a lot more now that we have a child of our own.

We hope 2011 was a great year for everyone, and that 2012 will bring upon many more days of this exciting journey we are on! As always, keep up on our day to day life through our blog: www.hshorne.blogspot.com
With love, The Horne's
