This is a picture right out our front window. December has been so beautiful this year. The dryest one on record. I love where we live, that we can look out and seel and and trees and sky and not a million houses. Gods creation is so beautiful.

This is how I decided to hang our Christmas cards this year. I have always taped them, or just put them in piles, so this year I bought ribbon from the dollar store and tied a bow at the top and then strung the ribbon down. Next year I'll do the same thing but I think I want to hang it horizontal rather than vertial, easier to hang. But I liked having everyone's cards displayed.

On Wednesday (Dec 21st) Scott met us on his lunch break to go take apicture with Santa! Mom bought this dress for Brookly and she just looks ADORABLE in it! I can't even handle it! She was such a doll. She got stopped by many along the way to santa to tell her how pretty she looked. I'm not sure we'll do a santa picture every year with kids, but we did it last year so we decided to do it this year too, but we knew this year might be a bit questionable as BK is at the age that she could have been terrified.

This is our little gem on the way to see Santa, look at that smile! :-D

And here is the photo. Scott and I had to join in. She was TERRIFIED as soon as he looked at her and it was her turn to sit on his lap. She wouldn't let go of daddy. So we joined in on the picture. Look at her sweet face, poor thing. We got a picture at least, we'll see about next year.

Wanted another picture of our tree. I love our tree this year. It's so beautiful! All the presents are wrapped underneath. Santa will bring one present this year for Brooklyn. We aren't sure how exactly we want to do Santa. We have talked about one BIG gift from Santa for each child and the rest from us, or maybe 3 gifts from Santa, just how the wiseman brought 3 gifts for Jesus. So we're still thinking about that. But this year Santa has one gift for Brooklyn :-D
Last night, in our advent calendar, our activity was to go drive and look at Christmas lights. We had just heard about a place pretty close to us, and does great lights. And they sure did!! James Estates. Brooklyn kept saying "Preeeeee" for Pretty! She loved looking at the lights. She fell asleep on the last part of out outing. :-D But she enjoyed it and it is a good tradition starting.

I have been sick this week so yesterday, Brooklyn and I just had a relaxed day and boy was she cute. Sometimes I just want to be consumed by her! She is so sweet, so beautiful, so innocent, so precious. I just seriously adore her. I cannot wait to have 2 children, 2 girls to snuggle, kiss, hug, stare at, etc. I am so blessed, and so fortunate. I have no idea what life with 2 kids will look like but I'm sure a lot more busy but also a lot more full. People relate having one child to having a pet, but 2 is where the hard work comes in. I'm sure that's true. BK has been so easy for us, such a natural transition. But I just want more kids, I want a big family so I feel like I'm ready for all of the changes and challenges it will bring.
