Just a few things

Just a few weeks ago, my brother and sister in law were going to sell their couches because they were getting new ones. Scott and I had some white leather ones from my parents, from when I was in Junior High. We were thankful to have them when we moved in to this house because there are 2 living room type areas, and we only had one big sectional couch. So they added extra seating and we were grateful for them for the past couple years. But when we heard my brother and sister in law were getting rid of theirs, we asked if we could buy them. They gave us a good deal since we are family :-D So, we put them in and they are so much warmer, nicer and give the room a bit of color since we can't paint. We love them.
Then, we also bought some spray paint and painted a few items of furniture in our house that were brown, we painted them to black to make them look a bit more modern. Again, coffee tables from my parents, and actually, these came with the house they bought almost 17 years ago! So we updated them a bit. We are very happy with the room!
Brooklyn and I visited daddy at work one day. We wanted to see his new office and come have lunch with him. BK isn't looking in this pic, she is too enthrawled with Scott's calculator. We had lunch at Jimmy John's, a sandwhich place, and then shared a Frosty later. It was fun to visit him. Scott's office looks great!

Scott turned 32 on January 9th this year. He wanted a low key birthday pary, so that's what we did. We went bowling with some other families we know and had a good time. On Sunday's it's 2 for 1 bowling, so it was really cheap, we got pizza and soda. Then we played in the arcade for a while after. It was really fun! A low key, family friendly birthday. Happy Birthday Scott!!
